Meeting this week?

Just thought I would see if anyone is into a meeting this Thursday, or another day if that works better.

Last Thursday of November -- Meeting?

Several people have asked me about a meeting this week. My kids are sick and I'm going to be away from them on the Friday night so I won't be attending a meeting. But if you ever feel like having a meeting, just find a place to have it and let people know about it. There aren't any "official leaders" in this group and anyone can call a meeting any time! Chances are if you're feeling the need for support then other people are as well! I'm almost always up for a meeting. I know the Talkin' Donkey is booked Thursday nights now, so I don't know how that plays into it, but there must be other good places in town to have a meeting?

Support Meeting - Thursday, Nov. 4th at 7pm

Talkin' Donkey isn't available, but how about meeting at 7pm at the Blenz across from SuperStore? It has a nice long table or comfy chairs if there's only a few of us.

No Meeting tonight -- how about next week?

Looks like a meeting doesn't work for most of us tonight. How about having one next Thursday night? Does that not work for anyone?

Meeting tonight AT TALKIN' DONKEY!!!

I just got a call back from the manager at Talkin' Donkey and the marriage group that had the room upstairs booked did cancel. there was some confusion about that, and we've had some times before where we've booked the room and somehow didn't get it. So! We DO have the Talkin Donkey Room upstairs booked for tonight from 7 until 10pm. Looks like there'll be a good show of people.

Meeting this week? September 30th.

Would anyone like to have a support meeting this Thursday (tomorrow) evening? Talkin' Donkey isn't available but I've booked the downstairs room at Bean to Cup (on 27th Ave). I would like to go but my husband isn't sure he can be home by 7pm. Let me know if you plan to attend. Thanks!

Meeting This Week - Location?

Talkin' Donkey's room upstairs is booked by someone else tomorrow night. Does anyone have any other preferences? If it's a nice evening we could sit outside at Blenz (across from Super Store)? Thoughts?

So? Can you believe it's the last week of another month? Is everyone keen for a meeting? Apparently precious few of us made it to the meeting last month (sorry, Caroline!!!) so maybe there'll be a good turn out this month?
I'm planning to go. Husband says he will be home. Anyone else?

Edit: Meeting tonight is CANCELLED. Rescheduled for next Thursday, April 1st, 7 til 10pm at Talkin' Donkey.
Last Thursday of the month approaches quickly... We have the meeting room upstairs at Talkin' Donkey reserved from 7 until 10pm. Some of us are going to "Boy Smarts" talk that night so won't be attending. Can you leave a comment if you're planning to go to the meeting so others can plan accordingly? Thanks! Happy Spring!

It's the last Thursday of the month again! How did that happen?!?! I called to confirm our use of the room at Talkin' Donkey and there was a mix-up. Someone else is booked in for our timeslot, so we'll go back to

Bean to Cup, 7pm, Thursday night, Feb 25.

Not sure if I can make it as husband is coming back tomorrow night from meetings away, so it'll depend on when he arrives home. I know others are planning to go though? Do you mind leaving a note here if you're planning to attend so others know they won't be the only ones? That way I"ll know that you know it's a different locale, too. Thanks!

Meeting Tonight!!

It's the last Thursday of the month already, and we have our monthly parent support meeting at 7pm. But NEW LOCATION: tonight we're going to try the Talking Donkey, at 3923-32 Street (highway). I've reserved their private room upstairs for us to try.

Winfield Park Day

Hi All - It was great to see some of you today at Kal Beach. The weather co-operated perfectly. We really enjoyed ourselves.

I know I mentioned today that I was hoping to arrange a joint Vernon and Kelowna park day in Winfield on June 18th, but I was just reminded of another field trip that was scheduled for that day.

So, I would like to suggest that we meet at Jack Seaton Park on Wednesday June 25th at 1pm. I hope this works well for everyone and I look forward to seeing you then.

Goings On...

Here are the activities that were planned/shared at last night's meeting (GREAT to see so many out! How lucky are we to really BE with our children, hey?):
every TUESDAY, 12:15pm - hike days, bring a lunch and swimming suits, (April 29 - meet at Red Gate for hike in Kal Park)
May 3, Sat, time to be announced - invitation to throw a pot at Daniel's studio, more info coming
May 9, 10 - Peter Pan extravaganza at VPAC
May 11, 2pm - James & the Giant Peach - sign language production at VPAC
May 21, Wed., 1pm - hike with Kelowna homeschoolers at Jack Seaton Park, Winfield
June 13 - Track and Field Day at Polson Park, practices in May (more info to follow)

Invitation: If anyone wants to plan an activity, please do so! There is no formality in our group -- so for people just joining us, brainstorm with your kids about what they'd like to do togethr and plan something!
