Motocross Freestyle Show, Tuesday May 18th 12pm-2pm

Hi everyone, There is an exciting show going to be held at KAL Secondary School tomorrow at Noon. The cost is $2 per person for the public. I can't seem to get the pictures and text to show up properly but this is most of it:

A World Class Motocross Freestyle show, which is also bringing the SmartRisk message will be in our parking lot on May 18th from 12pm - 2pm. Some of our local riders who have made the World Circuit will be there to show their stuff. It will be a day to remember!!!! A huge THANK-YOU to Kawasaki for bearing the cost of this event. Let's make it a success, so we can do it every year!! Tell all your friends and family, have them come watch. EVERYONE is welcome. It only costs a $2 donation for a show that would cost you more than $40 to attend downtown. This includes a chance to win some amazing door prizes from OGIO, Fox Clothing and Kawasaki Canada to name a few.

May is going to be a month to remember for Grad Students at "2" Okanagan Schools. Banner Recreational Products in Vernon and Valley Moto Sports in Kelowna have teamed up with Canadian Kawasaki Motors to create Canada's 1st ever "Dry Grad Freestyle Show". Superstars of the MX Freestyle World will be converging on Kal Lake Senior Secondary (Vernon) and George Elliot Senior Secondary (Winfield) in an effort to raise funds for Dry Grad and to share the message of acting responsibly over the upcoming Grad Summer. "Youth are faced with tough decisions each day, pressure to try things.... do things that may limit their ability to achieve their goals in the future. Rather than have someone my age talk to them", explains Chris Pearson of Canadian Kawasaki Motors "we're putting their role models on center stage with a show AND a message!"

"I've been to Europe 37 times in the last 10 years, lived with Mike Metzger, and worked with Travis Pastrana" says Canadian Kawasaki MX Freestyle rider Reagan Sieg, "making one stupid decision in my Grad Year could have ruined that. Grade 12 is a big year, your Parents ease up on you, all the parties.... you need to realize that stuff you do now effects the rest of your life!"

While the event honors the GESS Grad Class with FREE ADMISSION, everyone in the community is invited to watch for a Toonie. "Considering that our Teams regularly sell out Stadiums for $40 a ticket, we're expecting a lot of people to attend." says Pearson, "The local Kawasaki Dealers have covered ALL FIXED COSTS to ensure that every penny raised goes directly to the Schools and the School District has worked to ensure that ALL SURROUNDING SCHOOLS have the ability to attend the event."

OGIO, FOX CLOTHING, Canadian Kawasaki Motors, & others have contributed Fantastic Door Prizes for the event.Purchasing your $2.00 admission gets you in the draw.

Vernon's Kal Lake Senior Secondary School is hosting the first event on May 18th, 2010 from 12am-2pm

Winfield's George Elliot Senior Secondary is hosting the second event on May 20th, 2010 from 11am - 1pm

Pearson's intent is to have this year's event provide a viable working template to build upon for next year and has already had conversations with both Norco & Rocky Mountain's Bicycle Freestyle Teams as well as Jason Britton (Host of Speed Vision's SUPERBIKES). "We know that our youth are swayed by Peer Pressure, I believe that it's OUR mistake to assume that Peer Pressure has to be negative. We've got a chance to change, to save, and protect our kids...... how can we pass that up?"

Take your coffee money on one or both of these days, support the kids.... and take in the show!
