Runaway moon theatre

Hi I was aked to pass this on to homeschooling families.
This group puts on magical productions and if you have the chance, go to a performance. Check out their website and look at some of the photos from previous productions.

This is an opportunity to participate in a community theatre
performance event. There is approx. a 3 week lead up, but this doesn't
mean that you have to participate every day. The organisiers are aware
that people don't have that kind of time/ work/ other commitments etc,
so they schedule rehearsals or whatever you participate in ( see list
below) for evenings and weekends.
They need: puppeteers, musicians ( no experience neccessary - it's
mostly percussive and very user friendly)stilt walkers,( I think hana
wants to do stilt walking this year) story tellers, *water* people,
people to sew, set up, make props.

They will be exploring water, and its role in our lives without being
preachy or heavy handed in any way.

Cathy Stubington is the Artistic Director, and lives on Curly Willow
Farm ( organic produce) in Grindrod,

Varrick Grimes is the Theatre Director, he is fabulous, very
experienced and VERY VERY fun! He lives in vancouver, but has worked
all over the world as a community theatre producer.

Murray macDonald is the music director, he is lovely to work with, and
also very experienced in this type of theatre process.

Jimmy Ouma is direct from Kenya, he is a community organiser and
resource person in Akonjo Village, Kenya. He is here just for this
project. There is a lovely communication /cross cultural exchange
between Runaway Moon Theatre and Akonjo Village.

There is no cost, other than the gas to get there for your specific
rehearsal times.
ALL REHEARSALS WILL BE AT ENDERBY DRILL HALL. ( south end of Enderby
on the highway on the left hand side.)

If you don't want to be part of the production, the show will run July
24 and 25 at Kingfisher Interpretive Centre, 7.30pm, it will be
approximately 1 hour long. don't miss it!

If you need any more information you can phone Michelle Carriere at
250 838 0923

To find out more and to meet Cathgy, Varrick, Murray and Jimmy Ouma
come along to the Enderby Drill Hall 7pm monday 5 July.

I strongly urge you to participate, it's fun and free! and you will
learn lots in a very friendly environment.

Delia,
So sorry that you didn't receive the In The Shade info.
I don't seem to have your information from the Seed Swap.
What name were you listed as?
It is not too late to be involved in the production. We are now holding In The Shade Arts Camp for kids, and rehearsals in the evening.
Call me, or Michelle or show up at the Drill Hall in Enderby Thursday, Friday, or Saturday...see our website for times. Please call if you have any questions.
